Gate Automation and Access Control Integration

Access Control isn’t just for the front door.

FAAC control boards on swing gates, sliding gates, barriers and bollards can all be integrated with an existing access control system to provide further control of the movement of people across a whole site. Each board simply requires a switch output from your access control system to open. You can go further and connect an output from the automation system back into the access control system to receive information regarding the gate, barrier or bollard. If an encoder is fitted it is also possible to be informed if the gate has been forced open, as the encoder detects the movement that wasn’t requested by the system.

If you don’t already have an access control system, FAAC is pleases to be able to offer the PAL system as a powerful plug and play access control expandable package. With a PAL GSM device connected to your automation system you can program large groups of end users on a web portal. The users options and access times can be simply listed in an Excel spreadsheet and imported on to the web portal to update the system live from the comfort of your own office. The PAL system can have an unlimited number of end users operate the automation system via a free app. There is the option to add 4000 PAL remotes, which are setup by putting the serial number into the web portal and then the remote can be posted to the customer.

A free exit wireless loop detector could also be added, which just needs to be bolted to the floor and added to the system in the same way as a remote. For even more flexibility you can wire in a Weigand key pad or tag reader on to the PAL device and manage the users access individually within the same web portal.
