FAAC gates cut out rat run at flour mill
Throughout its 80 year history the flour mill in Lincolnshire never needed gates, but
with activities of joy riders and home bound revellers using the mill as a shortcut,
gates were the only solution.
The mill yard was small and busy with around 30 articulated lorries driving in and out
every day. There wasn't enough room for an inward swinging gate so an extremly
large cantilever gate has been installed to save on yard space. The gate is over 18m
long and probably the largest gate in Britain, so the FAAC 844 3 phase operator
which has been designed for heavy commerical gates was used.
